The statement continued that the partnership has also assisted Rwanda's goal of becoming an global sports center in Africa and stage additional international competitions while implementing local football projects that have helped hundreds of young players and coaches improve their techniques and encourage more involvement in athletics nationwide.
Richard Garlick, Arsenal's top executive, described the partnership as a “important voyage” and claimed it had been “propelling” the club's aspirations.
But that is not how a segment of the club's followers, with the campaign group Gunners for Peace holding rallies outside the North London venue during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain in April's conclusion.
Activists unveiled a placard declaring “Drop Visit Rwanda” and distributed armbands to cover up the partnership emblem on uniforms.
During that period, Paris Saint-Germain extended their sponsorship arrangement with Visit Rwanda through 2028.
Meanwhile, the Spanish club signed a fresh deal for the identical duration that has led to the branding featured on the Madrid-based team's men's and women's shirts.
