The London and Paris have signed a declaration of intent concerning the positioning of troops in the nation should a peace deal be struck with Moscow, the Prime Minister of Britain, Keir Starmer, has stated.
After discussions with Ukraine's allies in Paris, he said that the two nations would "create defense centers throughout Ukraine and erect secure facilities for weapons and equipment" to prevent any future incursion.
The partner countries also put forward that the United States would take the lead in overseeing a ceasefire.
Moscow has consistently stated that any external forces in Ukraine would be considered a "legitimate target", but has so far not responded on this latest declaration.
Moscow's leader Vladimir Putin initiated a comprehensive attack of Ukraine in early 2022, and Russia presently occupies roughly 20% of Ukraine's sovereign soil.
"This constitutes a crucial element of our pledge to support Ukraine for the foreseeable future," remarked the British leader.

He said that "robust" security guarantees for Ukraine had been reached in the case of a prospective truce.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a "huge step forward" had been made in the talks, but cautioned that he would only consider efforts to be "sufficient" if they resulted in the cessation of the fighting.
Recently, he indicated a settlement was "largely prepared". Finalizing the remaining 10% would "determine the future of the peace, the destiny of Ukraine and Europe".
