'Our Mission Involves Exclusively Killing' - How The Sudanese Vicious Militia Conducted a Massacre

Warning: This Story Presents Graphic Accounts of Executions.

Militiamen chuckle as they ride on the back of a utility vehicle, racing past a series of several corpses and heading facing the sinking Sudanese evening sky.

"See all this effort. Look at this act of ethnic cleansing," one exclaims.

The fighter grins as he points the recording device on himself and his companion combatants, their paramilitary insignia clearly shown: "They are all going to be killed like this."

These individuals are rejoicing over a massacre that relief organizations believe resulted in the deaths of in excess of 2,000 people in the Sudanese city of the Darfur city last month.

A Community Severed from the World

Following their control of the community under siege for nearly two years, from the summer the militia proceeded to reinforce its position and prevent access for the surviving civilian population.

Orbital photography reveal that troops started to erect a immense berm - a built-up sand barrier - surrounding the boundaries of al-Fashir, closing access routes and preventing humanitarian assistance.

As the siege worsened, multiple civilians were murdered in an paramilitary assault on a religious building on 19 September, while the UN reported 53 further were slain in drone and cannon attacks on a displacement camp in fall.

Explicit Video Depicts Unarmed People Gunned Down

In the early morning on late October the militia conquered the final army positions and seized the main headquarters in the city, the headquarters of the Army Division, as the government forces retreated.

One of the most horrific videos to emerge and studied showed the aftermath of a mass killing at a campus structure on the western side of the city, where scores lifeless forms were observed strewn throughout the floor.

A senior man dressed in a white tunic sat isolated surrounded by the bodies. He looked to glance as a militiaman equipped with a firearm moved descending the staircase towards the individual. lifting his weapon, the gunman discharged a solitary shot at the man, who collapsed to the ground motionless.

"For what reason is this one even alive," one militiaman cried. "Execute this person."

Space-based imagery taken on October 26th appeared to confirm that executions were also carried out on the thoroughfares of el-Fasher, according to a study issued by the university analysis team.

One witness who provided testimony reported the individual had witnessed "multiple of our relatives getting executed - the victims were collected in a specific area and everyone eliminated."

RSF Officers Seek to Implement Damage Control

During the period that came after the killings, paramilitary chief conceded that his fighters had perpetrated "violations" and announced the events would be examined.

Part of the detained was following a report detailing his killings. Deliberately choreographed and produced video shared on the RSF's authorized messaging channel reveal the commander being taken into a prison room at a prison on the outskirts of el-Fasher.

Meanwhile, the paramilitary force and connected digital profiles started attempting to reframe the account.

Content depicting its militiamen providing aid to inhabitants were disseminated by various individuals, while the force's communications team released several clips purporting to display the compassionate treatment of army prisoners of war.

Regardless of the social media campaign being deployed by the paramilitary, their activities in al-Fashir have generated international condemnation.
