'Our Mission Involves Exclusively Killing' - How The Sudanese Vicious Militia Conducted a Massacre

Militiamen chuckle as they ride on the back of a utility vehicle, racing past a series of several corpses and heading facing the sinking Sudanese evening sky.

"See all this effort. Look at this act of ethnic cleansing," one exclaims.

The fighter grins as he points the recording device on himself and his companion combatants, their paramilitary insignia clearly shown: "They are all going to be killed like this."

These individuals are rejoicing over a massacre that relief organizations believe resulted in the deaths of in excess of 2,000 people in the Sudanese city of the Darfur city last month.

A Community Severed from the World

Following their control of the community under siege for nearly two years, from the summer the militia proceeded to reinforce its position and prevent access for the surviving civilian population.

Content depicting its militiamen providing aid to inhabitants were disseminated by various individuals, while the force's communications team released several clips purporting to display the compassionate treatment of army prisoners of war.

Regardless of the social media campaign being deployed by the paramilitary, their activities in al-Fashir have generated international condemnation.
