Red Bull Reveals Substantial 2026 Driver Seats: Hadjar Elevated, Teenager Lindblad Earns F1 Drive.

The Red Bull team has confirmed a new line-up for the 2026 Grand Prix year, promoting Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its main squad and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his maiden F1 drive.
Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, will be team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls.
This reshuffling results in Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive following a five-year stint.
Who is Arvid Lindblad?
The British teen drove first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix this year.
The youngster was marked out as a rising talent by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old.
Discussing the company's young driver programme, a senior Red Bull figure previously said that Lindblad "looks really promising", commending his "pure speed".
Red Bull prepared a programme since last year to prepare Lindblad for his potential Grand Prix bow in 2026, including runs in Grand Prix practice at the British and Mexican races.
Lindblad stated it was a "proud moment", commenting: "2026 will be a big challenge, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and rise to it. I am incredibly excited to get started."
He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi.
Hadjar's Big Break
Isack Hadjar celebrates his maiden top-three finish in F1, secured at the Dutch Grand Prix this season.
Hadjar's F1 career started on a low note when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has emerged as one of the stand-out rookies this season.
He featured an remarkable podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies in tenth place in the championship.
The team principal commented: "Isack has displayed impressive growth and proved to be a fast adapter. Most importantly, he has the raw speed that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive alongside Max."
The promoted driver called it "an awesome move" and said he felt "up for the challenge".
Tsunoda's Exit
To partner Lindblad at the junior team, Red Bull have preferred Lawson instead of Tsunoda.
The New Zealander started 2025 with the main team but was demoted early in the year. However, he has found his form at Racing Bulls with notable results, persuading Red Bull he deserves another season.
The Japanese driver, meanwhile, loses his place after a disappointing season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship.
The driver market moves confirm that there remains no place on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 for 2026.
