The Red Devils Poised to Sign Germany Striker Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich

Manchester United are on the verge of sealing the deal for prolific German striker Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich.

A Major Acquisition for the WSL Side

Schüller, who has half a year left on her contract, has been a consistent goalscorer for her club and the national team. She has netted over 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for Germany. This signing is viewed as a major coup for the Women’s Super League side.

Departure from Munich was expected since she was seen fighting back tears while thanking the German club’s supporters after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen this month.

It was reported in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top strikers. According to reports, the formalities for the move are now finalised.

The experienced striker's signing should represent a significant boost to United’s attacking options. Schüller has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga.

• She claimed the top scorer award in 2021-22 season with 16 goals.
