Tottenham Considering Offloading Winger Brennan Johnson.
Tottenham Hotspur's European final hero Brennan Johnson confronts an unclear situation in North London amid rising Premier League interest in his services.
It is understood that the club, while not actively seeking to part with the Welsh international, are open to letting Johnson leave if they get a suitable offer.
Crystal Palace are reportedly the club furthest along in their interest for Johnson, but other teams are said to be monitoring his situation closely.
Last Campaign of Mixed Fortunes
Johnson was Tottenham's leading top-flight scorer the previous campaign with eleven goals, and secured his place in club history by netting the winner in their European final victory against United last season, ending the club's seventeen-year wait for a trophy.
However, the exit of Ange Postecoglou and arrival of Thomas Frank has resulted in Johnson occupying more of a reduced role in the current campaign.
The Welsh forward, has been granted only 6 Premier League starts this term.
Transfer Market Speculation Grows
Therefore, a host of clubs have been alerted to his likely exit ahead of the January transfer window.
Due to his reduced minutes and the looming possibility of a global tournament approaching with Wales, a transfer elsewhere from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium may suit Johnson next month.
The attacker moved to Tottenham from Forest in a deal worth £47.5m in the summer of 2023 and has notched twenty-seven goals in all competitions.
